Cup final: at the Vicente Calderón

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced that the King’s Cup final between FC Barcelona and Athetic Club will be played on May 25 at the Vicente Calderón in Madrid. Picking the Calderón as the venue for the final was the Club’s latest proposition in the last meeting held by FC Barcelona, Athletic Club, and the Federation.

This will be the seventh Cup final between FC Barcelona and Athletic Club Bilbao. Of the past six, the Azulgranas have won four and the Basques two. The last time both teams met in the competition was on May 13th, 2009, at Mestalla.
